Technology Services has set up Microsoft Office Suite on the computers in Howard-Tilton to automatically save every 10 minutes. Log back in to the computer you were using and re-launch the Office application (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.). Office should open the last automatic save.

Be aware that the recovered file is only available that same day. For security purposes, all user profiles are cleared from computers in Howard-Tilton and other campus labs overnight. (Other campus labs include Boggs, Willow, Cudd Hall, and Matas Medical Library.)

If the file doesn't open automatically, look in the following folders:
For PC:

\username\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Word
\username\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel

For Mac:

\username\Documents\Microsoft User Data\Office 2011 Autorecovery

Replace the username with the user's login name (e.g. jsmith)
