Often the best database to use is the one specific your subject area.  Start with the library guide that best fits your course or assignment: libguides.tulane.edu. Librarians have collected the most appropriate databases by discipline to help you.

Sometimes one research guide is not enough. If the needs of your project are not being met by one of our subject guides, you may want to schedule a research consultation with a librarian, or e-mail a librarian for assistance. The research help page gives you several ways to contact a librarian for research advice: library.tulane.edu/services/research-anywhere.
